Axwell “Feel The Vibe”

January 11, 2010

This big hit from Axwell brought the Swedish House Mafia to my attention. It’s an older video, but I still love watching it. A pair of street dancers are practicing their moves on the sidewalks. They take notice of each other and the chemistry starts unfolding. The dancing is amazing and as uplifting as the track moves along.

Steve Porter – YouTube Music Is

December 3, 2009

Blastro is a mainstream urban music video site. I’m a dance music enthusiast, so that is why we have a dance section on the site. Jesse Brede showed this video to me. It’s a wonderful mashup of interviews from today’s biggest urban music stars with a dance music track. Steve Porter is a UK based DJ/producer/remixer who is making a big name for himself as the best in class for these niche videos.

Inna “Love” music video

December 1, 2009

“Love” is the followup video to the international hit “Hot.” It does not stay too far from it’s predecessor. You still hear the same pleasant vocals and the simple synth line. The video has a motley group of characters consisting of a boxer, ballerina, judo, bat wielding girl who take on a group of black hooded thugs in an empty industrial building.

Armin Van Buuren “Fine Without You” music video

November 19, 2009

Many videos from international trance DJs are about performances in arenas. I’ll admit I like to see the elaborate lighting and visuals at these events, but this video has none of it. It’s about getting set up for a show in Los Angeles. Come on Armin, we need to see you pumping your fists in the air and thousands of people screaming. Isn’t that what trance videos are all about?m

Tiesto can be seen in a lot of different places these days. He’s breaking out of his trance-only trademark genre and taking a more adventurous side to his music. With “Escape Me”, he ventures into the world of dance rock. The video has him as one of the backing musicians in a band and actress C.C. Sheffield leading the band as the front vocalist.
